At less than half a millimeter thick , it has a negligible effect on floor height. The film is laid over our exceptional 6mm Depron floor insulation (which replaces the standard flooring underlay) to give a minimal effect on your floor height - less than 6.5mm! This makes it ideal for use in both new buildings & renovations or refurbishments where floor height can be vitally important! If possible 2 layers (12.5mm in total) are recommended in conservatories or un-insulated floors to help keep the heat in the room. (If it is not possible to use 2 layers of depron you could apply Varme Therma-Coat before your single layer) Digital control - The control of the heating system is via a simple to operate, digital thermostat which has a 7-day/24 hr timer built in. The thermostat is unobtrusive & takes up the same space as a standard light switch Heat Output - The film is designed as a heating system (not just floor warming) & gives an even heat coverage beneath the whole floor. It is available in two power outputs 130w per sqm for ordinary home heating & 160w per sqm for conservatories where higher heat losses are experienced. Simple to install - The installation is so simple it can be done by anyone with even the most basic DIY skills, leaving your electrician to connect it up to the mains for you. Quality - The heating film is manufactured in the UK in a BEAB approved factory & has been used worldwide for many years. Once we have this we can look at the optimum layout for your room/s and taylor make your kit.
